Cloud: the ultimate "white space"
I was checking out designer Monica Förster's newest product LOAD and I came across some previous work and was totally captured by Cloud: "A portable inflatable meeting room in white ripstop nylon. Floor in greengrey colour. Bag, with fan in greysilver sound-decreasing textile contains room when deflated." This one definitely has my vote for the ultimate "white space."

Escape to Your Cave
Sometimes we just want to escape and get some relaxation and privacy.  A book is one of my favorite way to get "lost."  Designer Sakura Adachi has made it a little easier for all of us.  Introducing: Cave.  The bookshelf is large enough to be used as a divider. Books may be stored on both sides of the bookcase with a cave crawlspace in between.  Available in two sizes: Children and Adult.  I only wished it came in a darker wood.

Creative Interiors
At the risk of people thinking that this has become a design blog, (it's not, I just love creative design) I had to post these pics up. The are some of the most creative interiors I've seen.

Like most things in life, perspective changes everything. Sometimes the context around you doesn't need to change... you need to move and get new perspective. Anyway... to the pics.

Jonas Samson: Light Emitting Wallpaper
This is by far one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. Jonas Samson has created a high-tech, light-emitting wallpaper proving it “possible to use a two-dimensional flat surface as light source instead of a 3D object.” When turned off, it appears to be just what it is... wallpaper. There's a new light fixture in town... it's called your wall.

MoCo Chairs
Came across these today on MocoLoco. I love 'em. I wonder if the orange chairs could be customized with your own message.

Vandalize your furniture...

I love the look of this sofa featured earlier this year at CITE in Soho. I like the modular shape and hand drawn messages. Don't know that I'd put the message on my furniture of the image below but I do love the look. About any cream Ikea sofa could get this treatment using a sharpie marker.

Got MILK?

Søren Kjær designed this incredible desk for your workspace entitled MILK. Need the desk higher or lower, just press the button underneath. Hate cables? MILK has a cable drawer and a couple of cable exits to keep things clean. The boxes on the left side are adaptable for different needs and storage... you can even have a fish tank set into one of the boxes.

With a pricetag of UK£1349 (that's roughly $2800) I'm taking donations... call me.

Graffiti

Teruhiro Yanagihara designed this sofa in 2005. It's a low sofa with cotton wax coating as the material. If you scratch it with your fingernail, your art or message stays. If you don't like what someone "tags" up, you can always get rid of it by using an iron.

You need to follow the jump to see some more of this guy's work. Got some really sweet spaces he's done and other furniture as well.

Cortes Mirror

Came across this on Josh Spear. I love this design. Viable of London married the classical with the modern masterfully with this piece. You only see the ornate gilt frame as you move closer to the mirror. In fact, you're actually seeing a reflection of the gilt frame because it's mounted in reverse on the inside of the black modern frame. Brilliant and beautiful...

I haven't been able to find it online for order anywhere so I think I'll have Tom build one for me...

SplitLantern
Kristian Aus designed this pretty sweet SplitLantern. Thought this was a cool design. It's like a normal lantern only if you want more light, you just pull it apart and it becomes two lights.
