ITLT... Food Rules

foodrules

It's Tuesday... Let's Talk.  Since the last couple of Tuesdays have been a bit heavy, I thought I'd lighten up the mood a little and talk about something most of us love: food.  This post is probably more self-serving since I really want to know what works for you and what doesn't concerning food.

Like a lot of people, after I got married and as time went on, I started packing on the pounds.  Several years ago I lost a ton (not literally but it was a lot) of weight but with the stress and depression of the last few years, packed it all back on.  Now, I'm making better decisions not just to drop some weight but to simply be healthier.

Food, like most things, can be a blessing or a curse depending on how it's "used."  So, I want to know how you "use" it.  What are your "rules" concerning food? Examples...

  • Anything goes... I don't even think about what I'm putting in my mouth...
  • I try and eat only organic...
  • I'm a radical vegan...
  • I only eat white meat...
  • I just watch my portions...

I think everyone would love to know the reasoning (i.e., moral, health issues, medical, etc.) behind your eating habits and decisions.  What works for you and what doesn't?  What are your struggles in this area? All that stuff.

You can always comment anonymously if you choose but I'd love for everyone to share something.  Thanks.

Sushi Conveyor

Ella sez, "A friend of mine asked to put her camera on the conveyor belt at a local kaiten sushi restaurant. People's reactions as they discover that they're being filmed are fairly humorous."

Guess I'm just going to have to squeeze my own from now on.

OJI'm depressed. If you were to ask me what drink I would choose if stranded on a desert island... it'd be orange juice.  Not the sissy kind either.  The kind with a tree trunk in it where you have to almost drink it with a fork and spoon.  That's how much pulp I like in my OJ.
